LDA Avenue One

LDA Avenue One is one of Lahore’s most well-known government housing projects, launched by the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) in 2002. It was designed primarily for government employees, offering affordable 10 Marla and 1 Kanal residential plots through a transparent balloting process. The project spans around 15,000–16,000 kanal and is strategically located on Raiwind Road, with excellent access to Canal Road, Khayaban-e-Jinnah, Defence Road, and the Lahore Ring Road.
The journey of LDA Avenue One was not easy. Soon after its launch, land acquisition disputes and legal cases delayed development for many years. Thousands of allottees waited patiently for possession, while LDA worked to resolve litigation and complete infrastructure. These delays made the project one of Lahore’s most discussed housing schemes.
Over time, the project gradually recovered. Roads, parks, utilities, commercial areas, and residential blocks were developed, and possession was handed over in many sectors. Today, construction activity has increased significantly, and more families are moving into the community, making it a growing residential destination.
For investors, LDA Avenue One remains attractive because it is an LDA-approved scheme with a prime location and continuous development. While some areas are still evolving, the society has gained renewed confidence among buyers due to improved infrastructure and increasing property demand. Community discussions in recent years also indicate better livability, though residents still mention that security and commercial facilities continue to improve as development progresses.
